Delete your account
You can request permanent deletion of your KindleTales account and associated data. This process is designed to respect your privacy and comply with applicable data protection requirements.
How to request deletion
Send an email to us at stories@kindletales.io with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" (or similar). Please use the email address associated with your KindleTales account so we can identify you.
Identity verification
We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before processing. We may ask you to confirm your identity (e.g. by replying from the registered email or answering security questions). This helps us protect your account from unauthorized deletion requests.
What we delete
After verification, we will delete your account and the personal data we hold that is associated with it, including parent/guardian account information and the child profiles you created. This typically includes profile data, preferences, favorites, and usage data we store. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Data we may retain
We may retain certain data where we have a legal obligation to do so (e.g. tax records, dispute resolution, or compliance with law). Any such retention will be limited to what is required and will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscription. Please cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play before or after requesting account deletion, as applicable.
